Pregnant? What to do next...
Use our SELF REFERRAL FORM to let us know that you are pregnant as soon as you find out. Once we receive your information a Midwife will contact you, by telephone, to arrange your first appointment (known as your 'booking' appointment). If you self-refer we are obliged to inform your GP that you are pregnant. Alternatively, you can see your GP who can refer you to us.
Problems?
Please DO NOT use the Self Referral form if you are having difficulties - click here if you are having Problems in Early Pregnancy
When you first find out that you are pregnant it is important that you contact a health professional as soon as possible to make sure that you get the maternity care that suits your needs and preferences.
The first 12 weeks of your pregnancy are the most important time for your baby's development.
The earlier you are seen by a Midwife or Doctor the sooner they can check everything is right with both of you. If you have an existing health problem (for example, diabetes, epilepsy or mental health issues) or if you have experienced any complications in a previous pregnancy or birth, this will be even more important for you.
If you are experiencing problems and you are under 18 weeks pregnant, please click here.
