Induction of Labour is the process by which a woman’s labour is started artificially. The most common reason for this is because the pregnancy has gone beyond the Estimated Due Date (EDD).
Induction of Labour (IOL) is generally carried out on the Maternity Unit around 12-13 days after your Estimated Due Date . The Midwife or Doctor will discuss all your options with you before any decision is made.
